The client approached Tailormade with the ambitious goal of producing a commercial that blended humor, engaging storytelling, and high-end visual effects. The project required a seamless mix of live-action footage and advanced CGI to bring the goat character to life in a way that would entertain audiences while maintaining a strong brand presence.
OUR ROLE
We developed a high-quality CG goat, focusing on detailed fur simulation, realistic shading, and dynamic animation. Special attention was given to facial expressions and lip sync to enhance comedic timing. To ensure smooth integration, we created a custom pipeline for rendering and compositing, allowing precise control over lighting and shadows.
THE CHALLENGE
Bringing a charismatic and humorous goat to life while ensuring seamless integration with live-action footage was no small task. The goat needed to be expressive, dynamic, and engaging while maintaining a consistent appearance across multiple shots and environments. From fur simulation to lip-sync animation, every detail had to be meticulously crafted to ensure believability and humor. Additionally, the goat interacted closely with live-action elements, requiring precise tracking and seamless compositing.
Beyond technical execution, the project presented creative challenges. The goat had to exude personality, delivering comedic moments while fitting naturally into the narrative. Striking the right balance between realism and exaggerated expressiveness was key. Moreover, the commercial required adaptability for different edits, ensuring that the character remained compelling in various formats while aligning with the brand’s identity.
